Downtown Community Activities

Downtown Monticello has a variety of community activities that can be participated in throughout the year. The Mississippi River is embraced at the edge of historic downtown Monticello located along River Street.

CITY PARKS and PATHWAYS The City of Monticello has more than 14 miles of paved pathways for walking, running, rollerblading and biking. Downtown Monticello has three city parks: West and East Bridge parks at Highway 25 and the Mississippi river bridge, Ellison Park along the river at the east end of town just off Washington Street and River Street, and another city park located on East Fourth Street. Often times, downtown community activities are located in West Bridge Park or Ellison Park along the Mississippi River which is one of Monticello's greatest natural assets.
